Maybe...

Blogger is getting a new look in April. 'An upgrade', they call it -
I've tried it all morning - and it simply doesn't work for me; it
is too stiff, and the posts don't look the way I would love them
to look. As far as I can tell this 'upgrade' is not a choice of my
own - and if I can't choose to keep 'my old blog look', I've taken
the hard decision to call it a day and stop all my blogs. Blogging
takes a lot of time and it should be fun...nothing but fun!

So if I stop 'The Snail' you know why...

Snail and bird step end...

Step end, Florence, Italy,
made between 1490-1501

This and fourteen other remarkable step ends in the V&A
collection come from one of the most celebrated palaces in
Florence. Commissioned by the wealthy merchant Giuliano
Gondi, they display a variety of foliage and animals. One can
be linked to a story in the Indian Panchatantra, or Fables
of Bidpai, and others to Aesop’s Fables. Educated observers
would have identified moral and political messages in
this decoration
